Dragon Fly Pins

Dragon Fly Pins

Dragon Fly Pins

Someone gave me a gift with this glorious green ribbon on it.  I have saved it for maybe two years.  I love the ribbon so much and suddenly while I was making the two pins the other day I realized that this ribbon would make wonderful dragon fly wings.  So here they are…..

Bee and Faerie Pins

Bee and Faerie Pins

A couple years ago I made a bee pin for myself, and the day I wore it two people purchased additonal pins, one a very cool girl pin, the other an additional bee.  The next time I wore the pin another woman decided she wanted me to make a butterfly and a faerie pin.  Today I finished one bee, one faerie and started a dragon fly which is not done yet.  Here are the pin and the hanging bee I made.

Another Green Bag…

Yet another reclaimed green bag

Yet another reclaimed green bag

Michelle has made another bag out of the famous green sweater.  I am telling you I hope it’s the last.  I also worked on a wonderful southwestern printed crazy quilt tote today, and will post it later.  I am debating a flashy fabric for the inside of a black bag we have waiting for a lining.  It is a brightly colored Japanese fabric.  We shall see, as Michelle is off on a conference for the next week I cannot make any decisions until she is here to approve it.

These purses are for sale at a business here in Syracuse.  Jackie Strait is kind enough to sell them for us.

Berroco Jasper Charcoal colored purse

Michelle has finally completed a purse that isn’t green.  :P   Yet another fabulous Jasper purse in a gorgeous rich charcoal.  She is hopefully going to write up the pattern so she can sell it at our favorite yarn store.  I have not been knitting or sewing purses, I have been too busy finishing up projects.  I literally had 8 projects on needles.  I have only about 5 more to go.  I promised myself nothing new until I have completed what I have already started.   I am getting there though, just five ( I think) more projects to finish before I can start a new project.

Craft Show

3 05 2009

Not such a fabulous day for Breezy Day creations, but we were not alone, many vendors were having trouble with sales today.  I did sell one bag though.  An organic cotton piece that I was still working on at midnight.  I also nearly finished the hat I am making to sell the pattern and teach a four needle class at Mission Rose.  I was happy that I brought something to do.

The lining fabric for the green bags

4 04 2009

Michelle and I stopped at Jo-Anne fabrics to pick out lining fabric for  the green bags she has made using reclaimed yarn.  The fabric is bright yellow, with large splashes of modern decorative flowers with green leaves and swirls.  It matches the bags perfectly and adds a special touch to them.

A New Crazy Patch Purse

29 03 2009

Okay really I want to call this purse a swear word.  I dislike it deeply, my experience has shown that just because I hate it doesn’t mean it is bad, that someone else might not like it.  The strap is way too short for me and it didn’t turn out quite right.  Eh.

Monterey Green Reclaimed Yarn Purse

Monterey Green Reclaimed Yarn Purse

Michelle has made another purse out of this wonderful green reclaimed yarn.  This one we are calling The Monterey Bag.  Similar in style to the Aspen Bag but slightly deeper, a shorter shoulder strap,  and with a fabulous abalone button.  A really great bag for the woman who loves a new purse but doesn’t want to add so much to her carbon footprint.
